Daily Class Routine for all English classes
Our daily routine has three parts. When students first come in the room, they work on Daily Language Review skills. For Underclassmen, these skills cover grammar, homophones, vocabulary and editing sentences. For upperclassmen, the bell work is a 1/2 paragraph they must edit. The skills covered into capitalization, punctuation, word choice and word usage.
Our Grammar section is next. Monday and Wednesday grammar lessons are taught and homework is assigned. Tuesday and Thursday homework is checked and reviewed.
After Grammar, we focus on the literature we are studying. Tasks will range from reading, answering questions, reviewing, writing, or working on projects. All parts are included in testing and exams.
