10th Grade Literacy
Welcome to 10th grade Literacy! This course is designed to challenge students to take an active role in their own thinking and learning. Through individual practice, group work, and class discussions students will experience an increase in understanding what it takes to do well in school and can actually accomplish it (competence), providing them with the important role of shaping their own learning - learning that is aligned with things that they see as important and worthwhile (autonomy) and lets them know they are connected to other people in school (peers and educators) and at home (family) in ways that support their learning and development (relatedness).
What an exciting and interactive year we have ahead of us! The theme for our unit this year is Protecting Life. Students will learn and practice the following skills to be able to deepen their understanding throughout the school year.
