Dear Parents,
Madison District Public Schools will soon begin using a new service called School
Messenger to provide you with notifications for emergency situations, school closings,
school events, and student attendance information. The system is programmed to call the primary phone number that parents have provided to the district on for emergency contact information. School Messenger will be used to complement our emergency preparedness procedures and provide other valuable communication between the school and home. You can expect to begin receiving communications via School Messenger on December 12th, 2011.
You can find more information about this exciting new tool for improving
communication by visiting the district website at www.madisonschools.k12.mi.us.
I assure you that this system will not replace current modes of school communication. Principals are still accessible for parent meetings and phone calls. We will still send home paper-based school information. The School Messenger system is intended to reinforce the district’s commitment to remain personally connected to parents. If you need to update your phone number you may contact the school’s main office at 248.548.1800 x1000.
Should you have any questions about School Messenger you may contact your child’s principal or Wes Prescott, Technology Coordinator, at 248-399-7800 x. 3409.
Sincerely,
Mr. A. Christian Morales
